I am an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist with experience in the NHS, private practice and sports. My current caseload involves assessment and treatment of sports and musculoskeletal conditions alongside providing diagnostic ultrasound scans and ultrasound-guided injections. I also work in an Orthopaedic soft tissue knee clinic alongside a Consultant Knee Surgeon managing young adult knee conditions.

Michael McMahon : IBSA’s International Infiltration Lab Malta

I really enjoyed the IBSA International Infiltration Lab in Malta. It was very well-organised from start to finish, with transfers, hotel and logistics etc. The lectures were very interesting hearing about the composition and manufacture of Sinovial and its effects. The course leaders were very engaging and knowledgeable, and went out of the way to make everyone feel comfortable. There was a nice mix of delegates from different professions and from different countries across Europe sharing ideas and techniques. The sessions in the anatomy lab were excellent, with opportunity to undertake cadaveric guided injections and to perform dissections. This was a new experience for me as it is not usually offered when I have undertaken previous cadaveric courses. I really enjoyed this course and would recommend it to anyone undertaking or interested in hyaluronic acid injections.
