I am an experienced MSK clinician currently based in Nottinghamshire, working both within the NHS, and private health settings; with previous experience in elite level sports, working within football and paralympic sport. I have several years civilian miliary experience across primary, secondary and tertiary care MSK and Pain settings. Clinically I enjoy treating complex MSK presentations and using ultrasound within my assessment and management framework. I am trained in diagnostic MSK ultrasound and guided injection therapy and have worked within NHS Radiology. I have been fortunate to learn from, and work with clinical experts both UK and internationally, across MSK Physiotherapy, Sports Medicine, Orthopaedics, Rheumatology, S&C and Psychology.

Luke Ferreira : IBSA’s International Infiltration Lab Malta

22-24^th March 2024

I was invited to attend the IBSA International Infiltration Lab in Malta 22nd -24th March. I found the weekend thoroughly enjoyable and clinically very informative. The course leads brought expertise and a genuine desire to teach and facilitate learning from around Europe from MSK, Orthopaedic, Rheumatology and Ultrasonography backgrounds. IBSA organised all components exceptionally well and allowed the focus to centre on clinical learning and sharing of information. The IBSA HA products, Sinogel/Sinovial HL were introduced, and delegates were afforded the opportunity to interrogate their physical properties, and importantly, inject the products into cadaveric specimens under ultrasound guidance with expert tuition. We were afforded free time to dissect specimens to better understand the tissues and structures we target with our infiltrations.
A standout feature of the weekend was the open, warm and passionate delivery from the course leads, the fantastic organisation, hospitality and review of products via the IBSA team and the mix of learning, with leisure time alongside new friends/ colleagues from
across Europe.

I very much look forward to future involvement in IBSA courses/ training and learning opportunities and starting to offer the exceptional HA products to clients/ patients.
